Whirlpool makes it here and just got punished for it

Whirlpool. Eighty percent of their appliances made in America. Real factories. Real workers. [pause] First quarter: $82 million loss. Revenue down nearly ten percent. Dividend suspended. CEO gets on the call and says discretionary spending has effectively evaporated. [pause] The media calls it weak consumer confidence. That's the whole story for them. [pause] Whirlpool already raised prices ten percent in April just to survive. Another four percent coming in July. Then the Supreme Court killed Trump's emergency tariffs and handed foreign competitors a refund. A refund. While Whirlpool eats it. [pause] The company doing the right thing — building it here, employing Americans, not shipping the work to Mexico — just got punished for it. [pause] Common sense wasn't wrong.
