When you nail the date and feel nothing walking home

So I went on this date a few months back. Good restaurant. Good conversation. She laughed at my jokes. I walked her to the train, walked home, opened the Notion doc. [pause] And the only thing I typed was: 'I performed the whole time.' [pause] Not lied. Not been weird. Performed. Everything I said was technically true. I just said the version of it that lands well. And she did the same, I think. We had a great date. We did not meet each other. [pause] And look. That's the thing nobody talks about. You can optimize for a good date. Most of us have. It just means you go home alone and also somehow more tired.
