The NFL created this streaming mess and 87% doesn't fix it

Trump called NFL streaming 'price gouging' and the '$1,000 per game' number is wrong. Senator Mike Lee's research puts it closer to a thousand dollars for the whole season across every subscription you need. So correct the math. But don't let the league off the hook. The NFL sold rights to seven different platforms, then turned around and said '87% of games are on free TV' like that means anything when your team is on Peacock on a Tuesday night and you're paying for a service you don't want the other eleven months of the year. That's not access. That's the illusion of access. The league chose fragmentation because every platform deal was a check. Now fans are juggling Netflix, Amazon, Peacock, ESPN Plus, and whatever else, and Roger Goodell is asking for a meeting with the FCC to explain himself.
